Extra, extra! Get yer NDSR funding!

The Notice of Funding Opportunity for the 2020 grant cycle (PDF link) of IMLS’s Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program (LB21) is now up! While this is not the only possible source of funding for projects based on the NDSR model, the LB21 program goals and areas of support are a perfect fit for the kinds of work that gets done in digital stewardship projects.

Preliminary proposals are due on September 27—which is soon!—but they’re just two pages. Reviewers will then invite full proposals, due in March, from among the short proposals submitted. We know from our conversations with colleagues over the past two years that there are some truly great NDSR project ideas out there, just waiting to be proposed and funded. Why not get the ball rolling now?

Program officers at IMLS welcome your questions about possible LB21 projects, resources like the NDSR Handbook and Toolkit and NDSR Grant Evaluation Criteria will help you structure a successful project, and the NDSR Advisory Group is standing by to offer assistance and input on draft proposals, too. Let us know how we can help you!
